My Hair

"Her hair is so pretty!"
"Is she wearing a weave?"

My hair. My hair defines who I am as a person. My hair, after being straightened turns to a wavey mess. But somehow it always seem to fall into place. I get questioned a lot. What did you do to your hair? Is that your real hair? The most that I do to my hair is put it in a bun. Usually this creates big curls in my hair. The reason I'm capable of doing this is because my hair is long enough for it. The difference between me and everyone else in my family is length. I take care of my hair. That means no perm, no relaxer. Just my curls and my straightener. It  takes a lot of effort to make myself presentable, in my opinion. However, the hard work pays off. My hair shows that my appearance is everything.

Balloons

Balloons, big and fun to play with,
All colors of the rainbow.
Red is my favorite color,
The color of blood.
Reminds me of the Devil
The root of all EVIL.

Melo in tha' Cut

Swish!
The Heat score,
they have a big lead,
20 to 1-4.

I got the ball,
now it's Melo time.
Dribbling down the court,
Two guys on me,
But Melo's in tha' cut

Put your best guys on me,
I'll score over them,
Light work.
No ands, ifs, or buts.
Melo's in tha' cut.

I feel the sweat,
seeping from my glands.
The point of this band is to stop it from dripping down.
I ball so hard it came through.
Melo's in tha' cut.

Dribble with my right,
Crossover to my left then back to my dominant.
Have you guys breaking ya' ankles.
I'm the best in the game.

I see my son in the crowd,
Along with my wife.
Reppin' my team,
And ALL for me.
The game of basketball is in my blood.
Not counting my girl, basketball is my wife,
Basketball is my life.
I do it for me,
It's my first love.
Melo's in tha' cut.
